Special Gifts

I have been offering gift bags in my shop for awhile now, but these are a little something special. I personalized these for a friend ~ one (obviously) going to Canada for the Olympics and another as a gift for a new baby.

So I got to thinking ~ every gift is special and if you would like to personalize your gift I'm happy to help out! If you have an inside joke with a friend ~ she lives on coffee and you would like a coffee mug on the bag, I can do that. If you want to send love to someone and share a special memory with them, let me see what I can do. If your little girl loves kittens; your little boy likes to chase snakes, let me see what I can do! If you can dream it up, I will do my best to make it happen!

And these gift bags are not just "gift wrapping" ~~ they are sleeping bags for the precious critters that arrive inside them!

Eat a Cupcake!

When I stumbled across this pendant on Etsy I knew I had to have it. I mean - look at the title of my blog. Is that even a question???

My new favorite artisan on Etsy is the creator of this - and so many more amusing and lovely pendants/charms - Wickedly Mod Omygoodness there are so many cute ones. And the really clever thing is - they are made from wooden Scrabble tiles! Priced at $4.95, they're affordable for everyone, too. (Chain not included.) I do believe I have just found my new go to shop for gift-giving. If you're one of my friends, there's a good chance you'll be on the receiving end of one of these some day. :)

Thank you, Suzanne, for the smile you'll give me every time I wear this. And, of course, the permission to indulge in a cupcake! :)

Valentine's Day is Just Around the Corner!

Valentine's Day is less than a month away! Rebecca is in the shop just waiting to be adopted. She's just a little bear - 9" tall sitting down and would make a great Valentine for your favorite Valentine!

Stay tuned to the shop for more Valentines joining her!

The Skinny

Two new additions in the shop today ~ two skinny rabbits, Kipp and Caroline. They are smaller than my large loppy-eared rabbits, but similar. They sit 8" tall and are cute as can be. They are actually a little Easter preview.

But I figure bunnies are good any time of year. :)

Here Come The Olympics and The National Western Stock Show!

After taking a two week break for the holidays I was finding it hard to get my mojo back. I had ideas, but implementing them was requiring more motivation than I could muster.

That was until I received an email from my sister in law (aka My Muse). She asked how my ideas for the Olympic bears were coming along. Because she needed one. So that's all it took for me to get back to the sewing machine and create Mishka. And once I was done with her, I realized I was happy and excited to be back to work! I had missed this connection with creating!

That then spurred me on to my next idea. Living in Denver for many years, I have come to know that after Christmas, comes the National Western Stock Show (January 9-24). So I had an idea for cowboy bear. Enter Scout and his cowboy hat.

The mojo has returned. :) Stay tuned for Valentine critters.
